The many spikes on this striker make themselves felt at the slightest impact, and the different lengths allow you to reinforce the pain by touching the skin with a slight interval.
To use a vampire ferule is to take advantage of both the impetus of a badine, and thus easily project the instrument hard against the skin, and a flat impact zone with spikes that easily cause bleeding.

As the perception of pain varies between individuals, different feelings are possible.
Care tips
Disinfect the instrument using a medical surface disinfectant, leave to act according to instructions.
If necessary, reapply the disinfectant where there may be traces of blood, and wipe directly with disposable absorbent paper.
Repeat if necessary, then leave to dry.
Store in a dry place, away from light and shock.
